Gail was feeling very unwell this
morning after an awful night with food poisoning. All she wanted to
do was sleep and so we left her in the sun with some gastrolyte to
recover.
The rest of us toddled off to Whiteman
Park. Glen wanted to see the tractors and he and Murray had a great
time watching the enthusiasts trying to start these things up for the
parade later that day. They really enjoyed themselves. Meanwhile,
Lorraine and I explored the Craft Shop and the Pottery which was fun.
Whiteman Park was full of people,
picnicing and riding the tram, and it was difficult to find a park.
There is a huge children's play ground, a wildlife park and, of
course, the car collection that Glen and Murray had visited last
Friday. It is a great place for families and it can be a free day
out.
I had wanted to be home by 3.00 pm as
Anne, Gavin and the children were coming for Afternoon Tea. They
brought with them an extraordinary Apple Struedl with fresh cream.
So yummy! The children played on the jumping castle on and off but
as the day drew on Kara was becoming tired and agitated. I always
enjoy Anne and Gavin's company and we had a good time just chatting!
Poor Gail...she could have done without the bout of food poisoning! Glad you got to see the family again. as you both realize, our kids think they are your kids too lol It is so good to have friends who go back such a long way that they can hardly remember a time when you weren't there. :)
